Bonsai
The Art of Bonsai was born in China for over 1700 years in the late Han dynasty. At the time called Pun-sai, small trees were established in pots that ended up being directly linked to mythology and Chinese folklore. Had shapes that looked like dragons, birds and other elements typically Chinese, and while some thought the grotesque, others believed that this art was the perfect representation of peace and harmony.
This art only came to Japan in the period Hein (794-1185) at the hands of Buddhist monks, who were fascinated with these small trees, replicas of the pure nature reared in small vessels and brought them to the land of the rising sun.
